Engagements

We wear only 32% of our wardrobe and we still think we have nothing to wear. The consumption of ready-to-wear clothing is constantly growing, which is heavy on our planet. It is time to value the pieces we have in our wardrobe!

Tip #1: Empty, sort, re-organize your dressing room to finally see what you have. Keep only the pieces you are likely to wear regularly and those you really care about. The rest, we put them back into circulation by reselling, donating or recycling them.

Tip #2: Always focus on quality, not quantity. It's important to treat yourself, but before each purchase ask yourself two questions: do I really need it (don't I already have a similar piece in my wardrobe?) and what will I wear it with?

RAOUL.E's mission is to raise awareness about a more respectful consumption of the environment and the people who make our clothes, and it doesn't stop there. Our suppliers, the materials used to make your pieces, the quantities produced, the workshops we work with are all part of our eco-responsible approach.

  • Durable

A sustainable garment is above all durable. Quality always comes first. Using certified fabrics that guarantee environnemental protection, and people and animals well-being, is our priority, but we also look at the bigger picture. Thus, we allow ourselves to think that it's ok to use dead stock to give a second life to already-made fabrics, that what can appear as the most sustainable option is maybe not. Sustainability is an endless learning curve and we'll always strive to do better.

  • Limited

RAOUL.E is a mission-based company; it's important for us to go step-by-step, have strong foundations, control what we do, and know what we talk about. Each style is produced in 50 pieces and numbered to avoid deadstock, but also because we want you to feel unique by wearing a designer piece that your terrasse neighbor won't be wearing too. We want you to see your clothes' value, be proud of what you wear, and take care of it.

  • Transparent

Transparency from our own suppliers to us, and from us to you is key. This is an important topic at RAOUL.E to make sure we never ever fall in the easy trap of greenwashing. Our end goal is to know the entire production cycle and trust us, it's looong. From the cultivation of the fiber, to the production of the textile, to the making of the garment, until transportation, we try to know as much as we can. You'll find most informations on each product page but if you didn't find what you were looking for, please get in touch with us.

Packaging

Our shipping boxes are made in Europe. They are biodegradable, compostable, FSC certified and can be used to send items securely more than once thanks to their strip.
Our manufacturers have a clean air policy that removes toxins and pollutants from the air used during the manufacturing process.

Our wrapping paper is made in France. It's biodegradable, recyclable, and made without chlorine or acid.

Our stickers are FSC certified, acid free and made from cellulose fiber where the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing. We also use soy-based Inks, an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based inks, made from soybeans, a renewable resource.

Please contact us if you want more information about our suppliers.

1% for the Planet

We are part of the global movement 1% for the Planet. This organization inspires and helps us to support environmental solutions by donating 1% of annual sales to environmental causes. Each year, starting from August 2021, we'll be donating to different associations, and keep you updated on where your money goes.

“This is not philanthropy. This should be a cost of doing business. It’s paying rent for our use of the planet.”
